Vanishing cultures of South Africa by Edwin Naidu tell about a photographer’s,Peter Magubane mission to record the beauty of the African tribal way of life.Peter Magubane decided to capture the richness of their culture on film and show the world a beautiful way of life. He drove thousands of kilometers through out the country ,attending function where people were dressed in colourful costumes,adorned with bunches of beads and striking headgear.
Magunbanes striking images cover all ten major tribal groupings including the san, xhosa,pedi and others. He record all this to kept it so that people have sense of their history. And he said, it is important for future generation to know about the richness of this beautiful country.
